What Gift Should the Mother of the Groom Give the Bride?

Many gift options will welcome the bride to your family.

Bridal gifts from the mother of the groom can be challenging. The right gift for your future daughter-in-law should be something that will welcome her to the family and let her know how happy you are to have her.

Small Details

The bride is most likely overwhelmed with last minute wedding details. A great bridal gift would relieve some of that stress by buying her the little things that may have slipped her mind like the the guest book or the flower girl basket.

Heirloom

The mother of the groom's gift to the bride could be a family possession such as your grandmother's rosary or a handkerchief knitted by a great-aunt. This type of gift is a great way of showing her that you already consider her a part of the family.

Jewelry

Buy her that missing piece of jewelry she needs to complete her ensemble. It doesn't have to be something extremely expensive. It can be just a piece of accent jewelry such as a bracelet or a ring.

Tradition

Complete her "something borrowed, something blue" collection. Find out what she's missing and then buy her a blue hair pin or garter, or loan her something of yours that is meaningful to you.

Registry

Give her a traditional gift off of the registry. She'll have the essentials she needs, and you'll know that your gift is going to good use.
